Trash Services

Trash service for Terramar Beach is provided on Mondays, except for holidays where trash service will occur on the next day.

Per Galveston City Ordinance, green trash carts should be placed curbside after 6pm the day before service and before 7:00 am on the day of service.  All trash carts must be removed from curbside and placed under your home by 10 pm on the same day as pick-up.

Trash carts left at the curb after 10 pm on the day of service are in violation of the city ordinance and the property owner will be subject to a fine from the City of Galveston Marshal’s Office.

Violation of this ordinance can be reported to the Marshal’s office by calling (409) 797-3647 or via email to: citymarshal@galvestontx.gov

  • Bulk Trash Service

The city provides bulk trash service on the regularly scheduled trash day (Monday).   Bulk trash should be placed curbside next to your trash cart and the city will send a litter truck to collect your bulk trash.

Please note:  Any appliance that has freon must have the freon removed and tagged by a certified technician and red-tagged before Sanitation can remove them.

Veterans Day – November 10                     (route will not be affected)

Thanksgiving Day – November 23               (route will not be affected)

Juneteenth – June 19

Christmas Day – December 25

Independence Day – July 4                (route will not be affected)

New Year’s Day – January 1

Trash Cans - Roll Out & Roll Back Service

Homeowners who are unavailable or unable to abide by the ordinance are encouraged to take advantage of trash cart “roll-out/roll-back” service provided by local businesses. 

Recycling

The Galveston Recycle Center accepts recycled materials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Staff are available to assist you between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:45 pm.  To recycle tires and oils, residents are required to show proof of residency.

Neighborhood Bulletin Board & Library Box

A bulletin board and Library box is located at the mailbox pavilion near the pool.  The bulletin board is for use by residents only.  All postings must be signed by the homeowner and removed 2 weeks after the date of posting.  Postings not meeting these conditions may be removed.

The library box is for sharing books with the neighborhood.  You make take or deposit books from the library box as you desire.
