Board of Directors Meeting

November 9, 2002


 
The Board Meeting was held at the home of Elisabeth Krupa, 23112 Marina Drive.Bill Aimone called the meeting to order at 10:10 am.A quorum was not established.

Minutes:

Minutes of the September 2002 board meeting were distributed to the board members present.Elisabeth Krupa made a motion to approve the minutes.Lore Cordell seconded the motion and the minutes were approved.
 

Treasurer’s Report:

Bill Aimone passed around a report from Bob Fos stating that the checking account balance as of October 2nd was $17,856.00.
 

Old Business:


 

CIAP Funding:

Bill Aimone said that the funding, $12,500 for the beach walkovers at Terramar has been approved.A motion was made by and seconded to give Bill the go ahead to start the walkovers with the option to request additional funds if needed.This motion will be sent to board members via email to vote on.Bill Aimone also said that the state is planning to soon be spending approximately $68,000 to replenish the beach in front of Terramar.


 

Pool:

Bob Bowe had emailed the board members prior to the meeting that plans are proceeding to replaster the pool.To replace the tile would cost an additional $2149.He said the present tile is in pretty good shape and does not need to be replaced.

Landscaping:

Lore Cordell is going to get with Bob Bowe to see when the pool will be redone so that the trucks will not tear up what is put in.Cindy Rice is going to check with the city water department to see if it would be possible to use the treated sewer water in the sprinkler system by the pool.Lore Cordell presented a rough sketch of the landscaping plan.Bill Aimone wants to go ahead and get the palm trees planted before the next meeting.The moving of Lynn King’s palm trees was discussed.Due to their location under and above utilities it is felt that the liability of moving them is too great.The sub-contractor is not interested in the job.A motion was made and seconded to not move the trees.A motion will be put up for a vote via email to the board members.

 
 

New Business:
 

Improvements:

With the pool, marina, and walkovers being redone in the immediate future, it was discussed that it was time to begin looking ahead at improvements.Numerous ideas were discussed.The building of a pavilion and playground for the neighborhood was discussed along with a master plan to be developed and implemented over a two to three year time span.Lore Cordell and Kim Saxon agreed to work on this along with approximate costs.


 

City Items:

Lore Cordell brought up the problem of the broken drainage culvert on the beach side entrance severely washing out and eroding the beach sand.Bill Aimone brought up that the “Do Not Enter” signs in the area where the dredge sand was taken have not been removed since the problem was corrected.Kim Saxon agreed to email Brandon Wade with the city about these two items.


 

Problem areas in Terramar:

The problem of boats parked in the street and docked for long term at the marina was brought up.Letters will be written to the owners.
 

Kim Saxon made a motion to close the meeting at 11:15.Cindy Rice seconded it and the motion passed.
 

The next meeting will be at the home of Bob Fos on January 11, 2003 at 23006 Camino.
