Old Business
Pool
The pool is currently being replastered. We had received a letter from the city requiring us to bring our pool up to the new code by October of this year. To do this we will need to add an additional drain at a cost of approximately $1500. A vote was taken via email to approve this to be done while the pool was empty and already being worked on. The measure was approved and Bob told the pool repair company to go ahead with the addition of the new drain. Lynn King volunteered to be a backup for Ron on occasion if he is not able to due to going on vacation or something. She is interested in going to a class in order to do this.
Landscaping
Lore Cordell reported that the palm trees would be installed in the pool area after the pool repairs are complete.
New Business
City of Galveston
Wanda Greer reported that the WGIPOA will have a meeting on March 15 at 9:00 am, at the Galveston Country Club. Chuck Wemple with the Galveston Bay Foundation will be the guest speaker. She also brought up the problem of sandhill cranes being shot on the west end. The city will address this issue at the next council meeting.
Proposed Terramar Pavilion
The board agreed to get plans together for a pavilion along with the estimated costs to present to homeowners at the annual meeting. Lore Cordell is getting bids for a pavilion similar to the one in Sea Isle. Numerous specifics and locations were discussed. Wanda Greer volunteered her husband John to draw up the architectural plans.
Delinquent Dues
A resident with $1300.00 in delinquent dues offered to deed their lot to the homeowner’s association instead of paying their delinquent dues. Wanda Greer made a motion to accept this offer. Bill seconded it and the motion passed.
Annual Meeting
Plans were made to prepare for the annual meeting. Board members volunteered for various assignments.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Wanda Greer. It was seconded and the motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 11:55.
The next meeting will be held at the home of Bill Aimone, 23161 Gulf Drive, on May 3rd.
